Ventersberg Stables is situated near Fouriesburg in the Eastern Free State, on the border of Lesotho.
Established in 2001, we offer customised horse riding experiences in the scenic Brandwater Basin, surrounded by the Witteberg, Rooiberg and Maluti mountain ranges.

Directions from Fouriesburg:
Exit Fouriesburg via De La Harpe Street
(Di Plaasstoep Restaurant should be on your right as you drive down this street).
Proceed straight over the R711 crossing (JenLees Country shop will be on your left) – this is the road to the Caledonspoort border post.
The left turn-off to Ventersberg Stables is 1.2km from this crossing.
You will pass the entrance to Mara Farm (on your left) 600m from this crossing, and 600m further you will see a farm road turn-off on your left – this is the one to take! (Note the Pumula sign on the opposite side of the road, keep left.)

As soon as you have turned left off the tar road, you will see a sign: “Ventersberg Stables Horse Riding”.
Follow the dirt road (which has recently been graded and is suitable for normal cars).
When the road forks, take the left fork (marked with a white arrow).
Go through the gates. (which will be unlocked but closed – please close them after you).
Then follow the road down to the farm, which is clearly visible once you have passed through the gates.
Directions from Clarens:
Drive to Fouriesburg on the R711 and turn left at the crossing (JenLees Country shop is on your left) and then follow the same directions on the road towards Caledonspoort.
